Latest on New York Yankees and Nolan Arenado MLB trade rumors

MLB Trade Rumors: Latest on New York Yankees and Nolan Arenado trade rumors

Paul Goldschmidt, a former St. Louis Cardinal, has spoken out about the persistent trade speculations involving his close friend Nolan Arenado. Goldschmidt recently stated that he has made an effort to give Arenado some leeway among the trade rumors.

Goldschmidt stated on MLB.com, "I've obviously tried to give Nolan his space with whatever is going on there, but he and I are still very close friends, and we'll stay in touch for a long time." "I believe the Cardinals will have a fantastic season after speaking with some of the guys over there."

The Cardinals have acknowledged that it is unlikely that their star third baseman would be traded before Opening Day. The Cardinals searched for a suitor for Arenado for months without finding one. One important consideration was his complete no-trade clause, which restricted the number of teams that could be able to acquire him. After acquiring former Houston Astros slugger Alex Bregman, the Boston Red Sox changed their mind about being a potential landing destination.

Paul Goldschmidt, who is currently with the New York Yankees, was Arenado's teammate in St. Louis. Over their time together, the two became close friends. Despite the uncertainty surrounding the deal, Goldschmidt still has respect for the Cardinals. He highlighted the talent still on the team's roster and voiced optimism for its future. The Cardinals have seen many ups and downs during the summer, but Goldschmidt thinks the squad will recover. Even if the trade rumors have subsided, Arenado's future with the Cardinals appears to be assured for the time being.

Arenado and Goldschmidt both turn their attention to their teams and the forthcoming campaign. Although Goldschmidt made a big leap by joining the Yankees, he will always be friends with Arenado.

The reunion of the old colleagues and friends on the same team would undoubtedly be enjoyable, even though it doesn't appear likely that the Yankees will get Arenado anytime soon. There would surely be some memorable moments because of their synergy both on and off the field.
